In Middle School, children are constantly stimulated for this new stage, marked by the transition from childhood to adolescence. Challenges that promote their integral formation, also aim at the development of their autonomy, citizenship and relationships.

TRADITIONAL CURRICULUM FRAMEWORK AND COMPLEMENTARY SUBJECTS

Working with the four great areas of knowledge from BNCC – Mathematics, Languages, Human Sciences and Natural Sciences – complementary subjects such as Analytical Reading, Study Techniques, Geometric Design, Social Emotional Learning, Maker Culture, Entrepreneurship and Creative Economy are also taught. In parallel with traditional subjects, they ensure student’s full development with both academic and interpersonal skills meeting the needs of today’s society.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE CONSOLIDATION

In Middle School, the English language development reaches its most challenging stage of consolidation: our students are prepared to take three major Cambridge Exams: Key, Pet and FCE, reaching level B2 of the Common European Framework. Independent speech is achieved by teenagers who communicate in their first language and English with the same fluency.

INDIVIDUALIZED EDUCATIONAL GUIDANCE

Focusing on the personalized learning provided at our school, we offer students from 6th to 9th grades an individual educational guidance, developed by a specialist. The guidance includes personalized teaching plans, according to the specifics – academic and social – of each student. Also, we offer Portuguese, Mathematics and English support, at no additional cost, throughout the school year.

EMOTIONAL SKILLS AND LIFE PROJECT

In these years, emotional skills and a life project are also worked on, in partnership with great companies, such as Escape60 Edu, Kuau and Belas Artes University, in order to develop the creativity and soft skills so essential nowadays.
